Curious Jack

Starting in the late 1990s, Curious Jack grew to become the preeminent comedy band in metro Detroit. We forged a great relationship with WDFN AM 1130 and the classic Stoney & Wojo show, and became the house band for many of the station’s live remotes and special events. And the laughs continue today!

Founding members Tony Wynn and Jeff Priskorn wrote sports- and issue-related parodies, original comedy songs, and plenty of theme songs for Stoney & Wojo. Our music even made its way into a display at the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.

Below you’ll find a compendium of our work over the years. Enjoy!

Well, once again the Lions got screwed, but this time the country’s finally on our side. Same Old Lions, indeed, presented by your friends at Ford… I mean, Curious Jack. (released 1/11/15)

Since it’s that time of year where thoughts turn to love and another 10+ loss season for the Lions, we are proud to present our prayer to William Clay Ford this holiday season. (released 12/26/06)

Well, that whole crazy Dixie Chicks phenomenon just won’t die, will it? So we’ve decided to pile on those crazy country girls as well. (released 4/28/03)

Well, unless you’ve been living under a mushroom, I’m sure you must have heard all about the stink Martha Burk and her women’s organization is raising about Augusta National not permitting female members. Well, we’re sick and tired of silly, misdirected protests like this, so we’ve decided to lampoon Ms. Burk in song. (released 4/9/03)

There’s a new law being considered in Michigan that’s going to make it illegal to receive a lap dance unless the patron is at least three feet away from the dancer. Huh? How’s that gonna work? Oh yeah, the dancers will also need to wear shirts, unless they’re on stage. Why does our new governor want to take the fun out of everything? (released 2/3/03)

OK, this one’s a little different. It’s an original comedy/love song written for my sweetie. But it very well could apply to you! (released 12/25/02)

They aimed high and yet came up short of a history-making season. That’s right, our beloved Detroit Lions are so bad that they can’t even stand out among the dregs of mediocrity! Everyone would have remembered an 0-16 year, but a team with two wins... how very pedestrian. (released 1/7/02)

No, it’s not a quote from Austin Powers; rather, it is our demented love song to the general manager of the Toledo Mud Hens’ major league affiliate (a.k.a., the Detroit Tigers and Randy Smith). (released 9/5/01)

Our shameless plea to convince Chris Webber to sign with his hometown team. (released 7/16/01)

Our paean to Mr. Golota’s disgraceful performance against Mike Tyson and the “sport” of boxing. (released 10/23/00)

Our homage to WDFN’s 6th Anniversary of being Detroit’s sports leader! (released 7/14/00)

Our lament about the jailbird plight of the once-adored athlete. (released 7/14/00)

Our dedication to the Detroit Tigers’ brand new home with the sell-out name, Comerica Park. (released 3/20/00)

Our ode to another lost Detroit Lions’ season and embarrassing playoff exit in 1999. (released 1/24/00)

Our ode to the Detroit Tigers’ lousy season in 1999 and decrepit old ballpark, Tiger Stadium. (released 8/27/99)

(Not for the faint of heart!) Our touching ballad, dedicated to women everywhere. (released 2/28/99)
