Loose Change Entertainment LLC, in association with Floydapalooza Media LLC, announces the world premiere of its second feature-length film,
Love & Plutonium. The film will debut Thursday, June 23, at 8:00 pm at the Emagine Theater at the Novi Fountain Walk in Novi, Michigan.
Written by Jacquie Floyd (Shelby Township) and
Jeff Priskorn (Berkley), and directed by Priskorn, it was shot in late 2003 entirely in Michigan with local talent and crew. The duo, who were married in May, wrote the script shortly after they started dating in 2001. After months of juggling wedding planning with post-production on the movie, Act I came off flawlessly on May 15, 2005, as the pair were married in Birmingham, Michigan. After the Act II interlude, a honeymoon in England, the couple is excited to experience Act III, the premiere of
Love & Plutonium.
"The process of making a movie together was really beneficial to our
relationship," said Priskorn. "We figured if we could still get along after the arduous production process, then nothing in the world could stop
Love & Plutonium is a unique and clever superhero comedy with an atypical romance. It is set in the Good vs. Evil battleground of Suburbiaville, where evil genius Dr. Milo Medlo (Nate Topie) and his loyal henchman Hank (Priskorn) are forever at odds with good girls Justice Kitten (Maggie Patton) and Little Liberty (Floyd). An upset in the delicate balance of power could result in world annihilation, or so the superheroes and villains believe. So when Dr. Medlo falls in love with a receptionist named Holly (Meghan Vigeant) and loses his desire for evildoing, Hank and the lawful ladies must form an unholy alliance to sabotage the relationship or risk losing their livelihoods.
